The Brief
Develop an entire level, spaceship interior universe and a variety of spaceship vehicles with minimum guidelines and information. Full pipeline creation from concept art to in-engine integration. Integrate our internal process with client’s external process.


The Solution
We aligned internal and external expectations from the beginning. Through developing a set of benchmark key assets, in the preproduction phase, we secured the criteria and the standards for further quality assessment.
We explored multiple technical approaches for developing all large interior areas, and for generating a set of tileable textures. Once the optimum approach was decided, the solution proved a winner in creating a new interior, for a small size ship.
In several cases we decided for the digital artist to take responsibility for asset development from the concept up. For all aspects and production phases. Thus not only optimising the workflow, but first of all empowering the artist.


The Epilogue
This experience helped the full team to have a better grasp of each single step in the creation process, and gain confidence in their artistic and technical skills.
